The room, the discipline, and the founder.
A studio, not a store.
A single room. Two long tables. A wall of swatches.
We started Gift Amoure because the most considered gestures we could remember had begun to disappear from corporate gifting and from weddings alike. The brass tray on a Diwali morning. The numbered trousseau on a Udaipur balcony. The single hand-bound notebook from a granddaughter to her grandmother. Replaced, mostly, by leather notebooks and gift hampers no one ever opens.
We work in a single room in Delhi with two long tables and a wall of fabric swatches. We compose every commission from scratch, working with a bench of 200 makers across India and Europe. We do not have a catalogue. We never will.
Curation. Production. Concierge.
Curation
Every commission begins with a single conversation, often a written one. We listen for what the recipient already loves: a city, a scent, an architect, a poem, and we build outward from there. We work with a bench of 200 makers in India and Europe. The brief is always specific. The proposal is always handwritten.
Production
We carry the production calendar so the brass arrives on the right morning, the marigolds are cut at dawn, the linen is folded the night before, and the Banarasi silk is numbered before it leaves the loom. We work directly with the makers. No intermediaries. The unit cost is what the maker is paid plus our composing fee. Nothing more.
Concierge
White-glove staging across India and overseas. We unwrap the boxes on the morning of the event, we photograph only when asked, and we hand the keys back to the host. Discretion is part of the line item. The studio signs an NDA on every commission.
The person who writes back to your brief.
